I have been passing out the “comcast cards” to close friends that have J.R. and us family members in their thoughts and prayers. It’s a pretty awesome network of supporters we have! That’s one of the beauties of all this – our family and friends are always there for us- the love is quite strong and feeling God in the total mix of all this is incredible. I admire your sons quest and his pursuit of God..and the gold… hmmm… God..gold.. : )
Hey, I was wondering if you’re related to someone named Brenda. She was one of my Aunt’s teachers at Lakota Jr. High in Tacoma. I think she was a PE teacher. I think it’s funny, how someone you meet could be related to someone who will become famous. My old elementry school’s principal is related to Olympic volleyball player; Misty May! We even have a signed ball, and a signed baseball from her husband Matt trainer! We get around a lot. and that’s only in Kent and Tacoma…
I AM SO PROUD TO KNOW JR……..and im NOT his parents…….i canonly imagine how you guys feel…..i pull for JR everyday…..if anyone knows what he can do, it is the parent of a competitor he stomped year in and year out……he is a TRUE champion and i cant WAIT to watch him in Vancouver!!!!….God Bless!!
JR! by way of Mary and Pete Holmberg, you have a fan club in Sweden-Marika(Pete’s sister) I and our children Nicholas and Josefin! We are all pulling for you and can’t wait to see you take a medal in Vancouver.
I believe that your accident will make you much stronger as a skater and as a person. Good Luck!
With the 2010 Winter Olympics just days away, your mom and dad’s Federal Way High School Class of 1974 is supporting you as well as your folks with a public sendoff for them February 6th at the Federal Way City Hall Council Chambers before they head up to Vancouver. We’re wishing you only the best and are cheering you on to “bring back the Gold”! We’re among many who are remembering you in prayer to protect you physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually at this time when your focus on the task at hand is vitally important. You and your dad share some common history! What a way to relate! What a story! Doing what you love, and loving what you do! We’re rooting for you! G O, J R ! !
I am elated to watch your son JR won the bronze just a few minutes ago. You must be so proud of him and you should be. He is a fantastic athlete. We saw you cheered for him as he won the race and my husband & I thought if Sue is originally from the Philippines and if Sue is then I am so proud to have a fellow Filipino winner! Well done indeed!!!
JR- it has been very inspiring to watch and read of your journey and amazing comeback! You remind me of a another inspiring man – Named Ike A.- he is currently volunteering up at Vancouver for the games- Keep your faith and drive and continue to do what you love to do. Sounds like you have a great family and support system! Good Luck!!

Dear Bob and Sue,
I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad to see that your son J.R. is in the Olympics!!!!!! I sent him a letter to his agent. The next time you see him, if you would be soooo kind to tell him to reply as many times as we/he can, that would mean the WORLD to me. It tells my address so he won’t have to look for it. I personaly think that he ROCKS!!!!!! I would like to chat back and forth with him, and become friends. So PLEASE be nice and tell him to reply. Hopefully soon, to become J.R.’s friend,
Ashley:)
J.r you truly inspire me to succeed in my dreams..It was amazing watching you in the 2010 Vancouver Olympics(: I hope that in 2014 i will see you again doing the best you can do in the Soche Olympics.. It was so amazing seeing you win the medal you deserved!!!! And if you ask me then i say it was sooo unfair that they DQ’d you it was the canadians fault..haha..Also you arent bad looking either..lol
Hi JR,
I think your words are always amazing. You speak so well to the camera when it’s on or off from the Olympic games. I am a big fan of your’s and I am 13 and loved to watch you on Short Track along with Apolo Ohno. You seemed so happy to win the gold in one of the events. I love your smile. I am from California and I have always wanted to meet you. It would be a totally exciting moment for me. What do you say?
J.R-
You have inspired so many J.R! You have inspired me to love the sport of speed skating. Haha I have been addicted to speed skating and I have been working out (not as hard as ya’ll). I am getting back into roller blading(: I havent done that in forever! I am saving up to go to the 2014 olympics in Sochi, Russia. I am going to ALL the short track events and I will be there to cheer the team on! I know it’s 4years away, but I’m getting ready. You are amazingly sweet sounding and your smile is unforgetable. You will be very successful in your life J.R. I know you will.
-Lots Of Love
Dear Bob & Sue
You must be incredibly proud!
Bob, do you remember me from Holy Trinity? Teresa Trevis was the one who sent me the link to your son’s website.
I will keep him in my prayers for a speedy and total recovery.
Susy
